Wheel Balancing - Wheel Alignment

Wheel Balancing

Superior Wheel Balancing Systems

Standard Wheel Balance :
The wheel is mounted on the balancer and located using a cone and fastened in the standard way.

Recommended For :  Older vehicles - Vehicles with retreaded tyres

Premium Wheel Balance :
The wheel is mounted on the balancer and located using a cone, or for bore located wheels, a flexible collette ensures that the wheel is mounted exactly as if it was on the car.  The wheel is then fastened to the balancer using a "finger plate".  This plate replicated the job the wheel nuts do when the wheel is on the car.

Recommended For :  Vehicles with slight vibration through the car or steering wheel - All late model vehicles - Vehicles with alloy wheels - All vehicles with bore located wheels.

Performance Wheel Balance :
This is the ULTIMATE balance for your car.
The Performance Wheel Balance is designed to minimise the amount of balance weight required by matching the trye to the rim.  This guarantees the smoothest possible ride.  With performance balancing, we start by checking the balance of the rim without the tyre.  We then remount the tyre on the rim and determine the best position for the tyre on the rim.  We also wash your wheels, clean the wheel hub and mounting face of your wheel.  This ensures that the wheel is located in exactly the same position on your car as it was on the balancer.

Recommended For :  High performance vehicles - Vehicles with high speed ( over 90kph vibration problems )  Vehicles having new alloy wheels fitted.

Wheel Alignment

Does your car pull to one side?  Are the tyres worn excessively, or unevenly?
Does the steering wheel vibrate, and do you have to constantly keep steering your car to travel straight ahead?

These are the symptons that your car is out of alignment.

Many handling problems can be corrected by an alignment - with all the system components properly aligned, road shock is more efficiently absorbed for a much smoother ride.

Reduced Tyre Wear:
Improper alignment is a major cause of premature tyre wear, where a properly aligned vehicle can all thousands of kilometres to tyre life.

Better Petrol Milage:
Petrol milage is increased as rolling resistance decreased.  Proper alignment sets all four wheels parallel which, when combined with proper inflation, minimises rolling resistance.

We recommend that you have your wheels aligned every six months or every 10000 klm.

We offer four kinds of alignment:

Front wheel geometric alignment - This method ensures that the front wheels are aligned to the centre line of the vehicle.  However, because the front wheels are not referenced to the alignment of the rear wheels the steering wheel maybe off centre.

Front wheel thrust alignment - For vehicles without any rear suspension adjustment, the front wheels are aligned to the thrust angle of the rear wheels, ensuring that the vehicle tracks straight and the steering wheel is centred.

Four wheel alignment - For vehicles with adjustable rear suspension, all four wheels are aligned to the geometric centre line of the vehicle, ensuring that the vehicle tracks straight ahead and the steering wheel is centred.

Four wheel steer alignment - For vehicles which are four wheel steer, eg. Honda Prelude, Mazda 626.
